To the left is how most of my Wednesday, short, sweet friendly ride looked. I’m way behind the real roadies on my 12 plus kilogram bike, lugging and chugging and huffing and puffing up the valleys and hills around Sanjhih north of Danshui.
Somehow this friendly short ride, became 5.25 hours of pushing myself a little harder for 100 kilometers through a wide variety of hills while chasing Nathan and Marty. At least they’ve got great looking spandex from behind.
Oh well, no pain, no gain and therefore no reason to eat good pasta and drink cold beer afterwards. You see that hill at right? It’s supposedly 20 degrees!
Guys, thank you for a great mid-week ride into new areas for me and for being so kind for letting me tag along. When I made it back to Linkou, I was so happy for a shower and nap. Now, I’m feeling much better.
