Waiting for the bus

by Michael Cannon on October 21, 2009 in Poetry

Waiting for the bus
brings question of,
what’s next?
On the way
you go
to where
you think
you should be,
the question to ask,
is it really time
to be there?

How do you understand

by Michael Cannon on October 15, 2009 in Poetry

How do you understand,
the look others give you?

who will I be closest to

Bombing down 106

by Michael Cannon on July 17, 2009 in Poetry

Bombing down 106,
passing scooter and bus,

The feeling of knowing you’re on top again;
ready to go.

Another trip is taken to a place not too far away.
A bus, train and walk lead the way.
Onto my bike I go then past many distance by fields, mountains and sea.
Taiwan is a glorious beauty,
that must be seen.

99 there

by Michael Cannon on May 29, 2009 in Poetry

99 there,
920 here,
2 could,
but 6 and 12 already are.
The longest way is the biggest of them all.
Home, to I travel.

5/27/2009 I was riding a mixture of subway and buses coming home late one evening and the plethora of Taipei metro buses amazed me.
