Are you sitting down awaiting destiny,
when it’s really passing you by
to stop only by those that have
pressed on to meet it directly?
There’s no shame in a pause,
a rest or reflection,
but lack of action only gives

Moving along an unknown path
to end where I think
I should be.
For a short time
even if the next step is back
to where I started.
To be ready for the next
trip to may be right.

If I didn’t write so long,
my journal might last for another 20.
I’m not really sure what to call these things.
Songs,
psalms,
stories,
shorts,
poems,
verses,
words,
thoughts,
answers,
moments.
I don’t think it’s really all that good to label each as a whole.
Each has a place and a need to be told.
Maybe understood now,
maybe for beyond when this notebook is filled with naught but dust.
