future

On a blank page anything is possible.
With open minds anything can be.
In the future, we can be who we want.
Now is the time to dream and plan.

I’d like to take a trip

by Michael Cannon on November 24, 2009 in Poetry

I’d like to take a trip,
that keeps going…
along
beyond
creeping
dangling
east
far
grand
higher
increasing
jokingly
kindly
longingly
more
north
on
practically
questionably
right
south
towards
unencumbered
vast
west
X
yonder
zany
Even then I want the end to keep pace
just out of reach as I go along.
So I know there’s always
something more to experience.
Forever in my life questing to know
more today than yesterday.
Hard to sleep with wonder of what’s missed,
yet emboldened by what’s to come.

I dream much of what could be
I live though is what is
Not quite content with each day brought
I smile to know it’s not fixed

TYPO3 is of the community

by Michael Cannon on September 23, 2009 in Poetry

TYPO3 is of the community
and for the community.
Together we succeed,
apart we fail.
With another year comes,
us together in Frankfurt
to join and raise a glass
for a cheer.
To new friends,
new sites
and new techniques.
At the close,
we go a little sad,
a bit tired,
but fuller of hope
to a brighter future
of more friends
and growing success.

It’s pure

by Michael Cannon on September 11, 2009 in Poetry, Stories

It’s pure. The air, there tall, majestic peaks, everything. Never before, well at least, not for a very long time has this experience made itself known to me. The only problem was the urn in my hands. The ashes, as promised, would be spread with the wind in hopes to reach the places we’ve been [...]
