Already before the first steps,
my thoughts are on how
I don’t want it to end.
To keep going onto the next
is what I really want
than going back to the old.

Tis a landed I have done,
another leg in the journey I have come,
oh so near,
yet so far we must travel before the hugs are real.

Never more am I unsure in love and longing.
To I, there is only you.
In the travels and paths that we take,
for as long as we are in heart and mind,
never shall we truly be far apart.
We may miss each being apart on our journeys,
but there’s always a coming together at the end.

The train thumps down the tracks,
towards a place,
of what I’ll see,
it’ll probably be already familiar to me.
The world gets smaller with each newly known place.
That’s okay by me.
For it’s the journey which I like the most.
A journey that defines me.
