The looks I get

The looks I get
offset me a bit
Once I gave hunger
as I saw nice form
Now I feel to be prey
Roles reversed doesn’t make sense
In contentment I found
happiness and peace
Do those then make signs of to be hunted?
Do these means I hunted for what was lacked?

Something tasty found on a shelf. A bag, slender only so, so tall. Crunchy, crispy, little bits drop as contents consumed without remorse. Maybe a little regret for what might’ve been. We should be else where facing ourselves down than here stuffing without content.
