Something tasty found on a shelf. A bag, slender only so, so tall. Crunchy, crispy, little bits drop as contents consumed without remorse. Maybe a little regret for what might’ve been. We should be else where facing ourselves down than here stuffing without content.

A short trip frees me of the moment.
Finding time to ponder now,
to breathe in fresh air.
An overnight or two doesn’t impair.
A few nights turns to missing.
Soon to longing,
bringing realization.
We’re better together.
Life isn’t, without you.

Brother and sister travel without complaint together.
It’s refreshing to see siblings get along for a change.
If there’s bad to be said, it’s only in little doses of rebellion of the food to eat.
A brother and sister show us the way to relate,
stronger together
than apart in hate.
