A tunnel gives no lost path.
Only an opportunity
to proceed
without distraction
of many choices.
Only forward or back.
Into light or dark.
No left or right.
Find your way
through the bottleneck
to chance upon more
by embracing
the unknown.
Or tremble in fear,
never to give
another question
to what could
become you.

A time or two

A time or two,
maybe three or four,
I wonder what I’m to do.
There’s no clear manual for life
it seems.
Almost as if that’s the right plan.
For each of us to make their own mark on the land.
If there’s so many marks though,
how to tell which is whose?
Now, that I really guess,
is why I like to be unknown.

How in this place of close packed,
failing facade,
constant traffic
and facing the old and new?

That is the something of what to do.
